A Man From Missouri States That In His Mother's Freezer He Found A Baby's Body

Adam Smith stated he is known about the white cardboard box in his mom’s freezer his whole life.

He assumed it held a marriage cake topper or another memento that his mom was holding onto and left it at that, he informed CNN.

Now that he is aware of what was actually in the box, he mentioned he’s struggling to comprehend how she kept it to herself all these years.

Smith, 37, called police early on Sunday morning and reported finding a dead infant in the box.

St. Louis police stated they’re investigating the discovery as a “suspicious death” pending a post-mortem and requested the general public for tips. The St. Louis Medical Examiner’s office stated the investigation is ongoing and wouldn’t share details.

The white cardboard box was wrapped in garbage bags; Smith informed CNN.

It was “the size of a boot shoebox,” and it had been in his mom’s freezer for so long as he can recall, he mentioned.

“I remember being curious as a small youngster. I remember making an attempt to seize a stool and rip through the plastic,” Smith informed CNN. “Other than that I never touched it.”

It traveled along with his mom to four totally different homes in St. Louis, Smith stated, including the house on Magnolia Avenue where she lived for 25 years till her death.

After she was identified with lung cancer in January, Smith mentioned he moved in with her to help care for her. She died on July 21, he stated.
